Projects are all around us, both formal & informal. I have engaged in a project management speciality on Coursera starting with Fundamentals of Project Planning and Management with Yael Grushka-Cockayne from University of Virginia. With the aim to learn more about properly managing projects, here is a few learning which I took from the course. What is a project?

A unique set of activities to product a defined outcome within an established time frame using a specific allocation of resources
- Harvard Business Review

Project Definition:

First consider what is the goal - then outline the three main objectives:
  • Scope
  • Time
  • Budget

A few photos from 'Cattai National Park' North West of Sydney. Great little camping spot with canoeing, fishing, barbecues, bike riding and bird watching.

To get there from Windsor, take Metroroad 2 and turn left into Pitt Town Road. Turn right into Tourist Drive 15 and continue along Cattai Road to Cattai Creek, where the road becomes Wisemans Ferry Road. The park entry gate will be about 100m along on your left.

Turns out I've stumbled upon the famous pub from  Albury & Sunshine Coast..  As quoted from wiki

The Ettamogah Pub is a cartoon pub that was featured in the now defunct Australasian Post magazine. The cartoonist Ken Maynard, loving empty spaces and having nothing around him, enjoyed an area just outside of Albury at Table Top, named Ettamogah, thus christening the name of his now famous pub the "Ettamogah Pub" . The first "Ettamogah Pub" of a chain of such pubs was built there and copies now exist in various parts of Australia including Sydney, New South Wales, the Sunshine Coast, Queensland and Cunderdin, Western Australia.
